Got an email from Ubisoft this morning that they are currently at work on The Division 2. I bought into the hype of the original game, and pre-ordered the collectors edition. I may play the 2nd game, but will not be getting it until a good discount is in place.
The reason for this was how the end game works. The Division has a fantastic storyline. Initial questing to max level, and exploring was all fun. However, once you hit cap the game turns into a gear grind. You can grind the underground missions over and over. Or do elite versions of the missions (kind of like a mmo story dungeon). Once you have high enough gear, you can go to the next tier where the enemies are tougher and hit harder. Repeat to infinity. The game has a PVP zone, but my experiences there were less than fun. Once in particular, I zoned into the Dark Zone and was immediately ganked by a d-bag who was camping the door into the zone. I came back and tried to defend myself, but was outclassed by his superior gear. F that noise. Of note, there is more content for groups. If you have a regular bunch of players whom you team with, you may get more out of it.
There are other games guilty of this same sin. The Secret World Legends has some of the best MMO dungeons, and questing content. But once you hit the end, and have an OK set of gear, there is nothing left but to grind the same dungeons, senarios, and quest content over and over and over so that you can do the next difficulty tier. Supposedly Funcom is working on the next season of quest content, but we will see.

As for what I've been playing this week: Did some World of Warcraft on Warmane's Icecrown server. Moved to Northrend, and I'm currently questing through Borean Tundra. Also, got a little Destiny 2 session in. Rescued Cayde-6, and got the quest to go hunt for Ikora. The Nessus zones are really pretty.
