If this is accurate, then the Ataribox just became slightly more interesting. I had anticipated it being an Android based streaming/game box like the Nvidia Shield. However, it looks like it will be an x86 based console running Linux. So it shouldn't be limited to lame Android games.
The possibilities of sideloading software are intriguing. Perhaps Steam? Or run a full Linux desktop? The article mentions that its going to be AMD based with a Radeon GPU, so that means it will probably be a Ryzen Mobile cpu.
