I took my dog outside this morning, and happened to notice something moving by a fence line. There was a hawk that had hopped down in the narrow space between my neighbor's wooden and wire fences. It couldn't figure out how to get back out, and was pacing back and forth like a chicken.
Of course, my dog had to come check this new thing out, which the hawk did not appreciate one bit. It flipped on it's back, and was holding it's murder claws out in a menacing fashion. After the dog ventured to the other side of the yard, the hawk managed to find it's way out.
Thankfully it hadn't damaged it's wings, and flew to a low tree in my backyard. I turned to retrieve my DSLR from the house, but my dog saw the hawk. He decided to congratulate the hawk on a successful escape by barking non-stop. The hawk didn't share his enthusiasm, and flew away
