Under your channel's security settings, the Channel Permissions section has various options for "Can comment on or like my posts". If this is set to "Anyone on the internet", it allows anybody (even if they do not have a Hubzilla account) to post a comment.
With posting open to anyone on the internet, Spambots see your channel as a Wordpress site. They will then leave their spam on your comments just as they would on Wordpress.
An anonymous comment will not appear on the post until you have approved it on the moderator page.

Your site or a channel on your site allows unregistered people to post moderated comments. This is a moderated comment. It has not been approved, so it will only show on the moderation page until approved by the channel owner. If you don't want it to show up on your site, don't approve it. Spam like this is the reason very few people allow unregistered people to comment.

I just recognized, that that a deleted, moderated comment brings up the article in the stream (sorted by be comments). Is this possible?

That shouldn't be possible. I'm not in a place where I can set up a test environment and duplicate it at this moment, but if that's happening it needs attention. Are you able to file an issue on github?

@Mike, I'll try to figure out what happened so I can file a bug.

Any additional info would be nice, but I just want to make sure that this doesn't scroll away without recording it in the issues list.
